When David Renault and Mathieu Tremblin claim themselves outsiders, it doesn’t mean that they’re outside of art world, but rather that they practice art outdoor. Through polymorphic proposals, installations, multiples, and interventions, the artists introduce their urban experiments to passers-by – roundtrips between hidden doors and tags, misuse or vandalism, on the border of what is lawful and illicte, forms of appropriation of reality that are not among the favorites of the justice.
Si David Renault et Mathieu Tremblin se proclament outsiders, ce n’est pas qu’il soient en dehors, c’est plutôt qu’ils pratiquent à l’air libre. Au travers de propositions polymorphes, installations, multiples, et interventions, les artistes initient les passants à leurs expérimentations urbaines – allers-retours entre tags et portes dérobés, détournement ou vandalisme, à la frontière du licite et de l’illicte, des formes d’appropriation du réel qui ne figurent pas parmi les favoris de la maréchaussée.
